Welcome to my family webjournal and I hope you enjoy reading it.
I had an interview for citizenship today. My friend Hazel and Theome come with me so they can watch Mary while the immigration officer doing the interview.
When we got there, I checked in to the receptionist and told me that my schedule was gone. They took out and give me another schedule. The guy was trying to explain it to me that this is what happened if I asked re-scheduling for the interview. I just told him right away that I think the re-scheduler people did not read my letter properly. Why this thing happened? They did not bother to read the reasons and whatever their applicants wants and options. I was upset and I told him that, he was asking me to calm down and wait to the side of the line because he wanted to talk to the interviewee people on the second floor. He was trying to accomodate all the people lined up and then went up stairs. He came back and told me that I will go up to the second floor and there is somebody will entertain me there.
I went up with Hazel and Mary, I was upset.. or else I will call it disappointed. We sat there and there is a guy called my name and he escorted me to go inside the interview room. He was telling me about the re-scheduling that I was asking and I told him right away that it is on the last part of my letter that if ever they could not give me another schedule then I will keep my original appointment. I will fly home early from our a week vacation in Disneyworld. He was trying to give an alibi if I can get an orders for Brian's job for Japan and I said right away, that thing is so impossible and I explain it to him the reason. He was a bit calm because he knew that I was upset - I got emotional though LOL. And he knew that it is their fault. He was pretty much trying to let me think that it is my fault where I am smart enough to stick my reason which is stated to the letter. Their staff is not smart and never read the whole letter of mine. I just hope that they did not do like that to the other applicants. He said that they will pull out my file and I wil wait to the waiting room and there is somebody called me again. I am thinking that this is now an interview.
A guy called me, he was bald guy and looks Filipino. He asked me about what reasons I have why my schedule screwed up and was trying to explain it to him everything. He is a nice guy- a nice immigration officer. When we got there to his cubicle. He go over all my files, asked some stuff about my applications...he asked also if I have birth certificate of Brian where I brought the original. He asked me to write a simple sentence and asked few questions about US history. I perfected it and then he was asking me about moving to Japan and when. He scheduled my oath on Moday Dec 10, 2007. So I can get a US passport and I don't need to get out in Japan every 90 days. It is very expensive that way.
Well enough for my stuff... I am US Citizen now and when my county called me as a juror I will never declined it anymore. I called as a juror twice and kept declining it.
